The Železný Brod Glass School – the GRAND PRIX for student glass design Adéla Oborníková, a student at the Železný Brod Glass School, has created the piece for her school leaving examination in an original way. She combined the traditional method of winding glass figures over a gas burner with modern techniques: the fusing and slumping glass.The “Frog Bowls” received the GRAND PRIX in the Student Design 2013 competition.
Czech seed beads in the 6th annual Crystal Champion competition for young designers PRECIOSA, a.s. announced the 6th annual “Preciosa Prize – 2013 Crystal Champion” in cooperation with the Museum of Costume Jewellery and with the support of the Czech Glass Association.
