Earring components; 0.6 cm rings

Procedure

Step 1

Prepare 2x 45 cm and 2x 90 cm pieces of line.

String 10x R8 (fig. no. 1a) and head back through the second R8 (fig. nos. 1b - 1c).

Step 2

String 5x R8 (fig. nos. 2a - 2b), thread the needle through the last three R8 and tighten (fig. nos. 2c - 2d).

Step 3

Move this stringing to the end of the line so that you have enough room for more leaves.

Step 4

You will now create leaves in other colors and move them up to the previous finished leaf. This means repeating Steps 1 and 2 (fig. nos. 4a - 4t).

Step 5

You have completed the short stringing (fig. no. 5a). Now tie a knot, sew the ends of the line into the nearest R8 and cut it (fig. no. 5b).

Step 6

Repeat Steps 1 to 5 so that you have completed 2 short stringings (fig. no. 6).

Step 7

It is also necessary to create two long stringings. This means repeating each colour 2x, so that there is a total of 10 leaves on a single stringing (fig. nos. 7a - 7c).

You now have 2 short and 2 long stringings with leaves (fig. no. 8).

Step 9

Thread rings onto the top leaves of one short and one long stringing (fig. no. 9).

Step 10

Connect the rings with another ring, add the earring components and you now have a finished earring (fig. no. 10a).
You can also create a necklace out of two or more rows (fig. no. 10b). We recommend that you should make each row longer by one set of leaves.
