Sewn bracelet made using PRECIOSA Karo™

Try out this new seed bead and create a simple bracelet for everyday wear.

PRECIOSA ORNELA has expanded its seed bead range sold under the PRECIOSA Traditional Czech Beads™ brand to include the new PRECIOSA Karo™ two-hole seed bead. This flat, square seed bead ideally supplements the twin range and is excellently suited to the creation of geometric patterns.

- a thin needle; a 0.20 mm nylon line; a waxed cord; a lighter or matches; scissors

PROCEDURE

The procedure:

Step 1:
Cut off approximately 50 cm of cord and fold it at a ratio of 20 cm x 30 cm.

Step 2:
Sew the first Karo into the fold, tie a knot and pull the knot into the Karo.

Step 3:
Additionally sew 1x Rip and 1x R at the fold, sew through them 3x. Poke the needle back into the K and continue sewing into the next K.

Variant 2: Additionally sew 1x Rip and 1x R into the fold, sew through them 3x. Poke the needle back into the K, sew in 3x R, then continue alternately sewing in 1x K and 3x R.

Step 4:
Sew the pattern to a length of 18 cm. Seal the shorter end of the cord using the lighter.

Step 5:
Sew the shorter end to the longer one.

Step 6:
Make a loop of ca 1.5 cm out of the longer end and sew it.

Step 7:
Twist the long end around the sewn point, cut it off and seal it. Insert the sealed end under the twisted loop and sew it through thoroughly. Tie a knot in the nylon, pull the knot into the loop and cut it off.
