0.3 stainless steel wire – 1.80 m
snipping pliers; flat-nose pliers

Procedure

Cut off the 0.3 wire at a length of ca 1.80 m. (Note: Three arms of the snowflake are made from one half of the wire and the remaining three are made from the second half of the wire). String 1x RO5, 1x R10, 1x RO5 and 3x R10 approximately in the middle of the length of the wire. Thread it back through 1x RO5 and 1x R10 and tighten the wire. Leave the first strung RO5 seed bead free.

String 1x R10, 1x RO5, 1x R10, 1x RO7 and 3x R10. String 1x RO7 and 1x R10 and tighten the wire.

String 1x R10, 1x RO5, 1x T, 1x RO10 and 3x R10. Thread the wire through 1x RO10 and 1x T and tighten the wire.

String 1x T, 1x RO10 and 5x R10. Thread the wire through 1x RO10 and 1x T and tighten it.

Now add the second side as a mirror image. String 1x T, 1x RO10 and 3x R10. Thread the wire through 1x RO10 and 1x T and tighten it.

Thread the wire through the central 1x RO5 and 1x R10. Tighten the wire. Proceed similarly in the case of the RO7 and RO5.

Thread the wire through the free RO5 at the end.

Always start the remaining 5 arms of the snowflake with 1x R8 and then repeat the individual steps according to figs. 1-7.

String the last (sixth) R8 and 1x R10 and thread the wire through the following 1x R8. Gradually fill the gaps between the R8 seed beads with R10 (a total of 5x).

Thread the second end of the wire around through the seed beads. Affix the ends of the wires by threading them through the central RO5 beads of one of the nearest snowflake arms and cut them off. Shape the snowflake.
