MAIN NUTRIENTS:

KALCIUM 19 % CaO
MAGNESIUM 0.5 % MgO
SULPHUR

TRACE ELEMENTS:

IRON, MANGANESE, COPPER AND MOLYBDENUM

The content of any high risk elements is in compliance with the statutory limits that apply in the Czech Republic.

WHY SHOULD YOU PURCHASE IT?

MAIN FEATURES:

A BALANCED RATIO OF PHOSPHORUS, POTASSIUM, CALCIUM AND MAGNESIUM
- a balanced ratio of P, K, Ca, Mg and the trace elements that are necessary for plant health

A REGULAR AND EVEN SUPPLY OF NUTRIENTS

MANAGED RELEASE OVER A PERIOD OF 2-3 YEARS
- the only glass fertilizer in the Czech Republic, a substantially longer active period than conventional fertilisers

NO SURFACE WATER CONTAMINATION
- the controlled release of the nutrients only during the vegetative period does not lead to any surface water contamination. 30-40% of the nutrients from regular fertilizers are washed into the surface water, leading to environmental pollution

IT BLOCKS THE AFFECTS OF SOIL SALINIZATION
-    the high potassium level blocks the effects of soil salinization during winter road salting

DESIGNED FOR PERENNIALS
-    it has been designed for use with perennial plants/trees that do not require significant amounts of potassium, for example, fruit and ornamental trees, shrubs, municipal parks, green roofs, forest tree species, …

IT HELPS PLANTS DO BETTER DURING DROUGHTS
-    once the fertilizer has dissolved, amorphous  SiO2 (a gel) is left behind as an insoluble remnant that retains water (like a sponge) and helps plants do better during droughts

DESCRIPTION:

The long-acting 14-31 PK Glass Fertilizer contains phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium, which are important for plant growth and vitality.

These essential elements are released into the soil for a period of 1-3 years in amounts that are sufficient for plant nutrition. It is therefore not necessary to constantly reapply these elements.

The breakdown of the fertilizer is conditional upon moisture content and a temperature in excess of 8 °C (i.e. soil conditions that regularly occur in the period from March to November).

APPEARANCE:

We offer the glass fertilizer in granulate form in two particle fractions of 0 - 2 mm and 0 - 5 mm.

The different granulate sizes influence the use, length and intensity of the fertilizer’s effects.

Glass fertilizer does not look like classic glass, it is not sharp and it is white and opaque.

THE 0 - 2 MM PARTICLE FRACTION

GLASS Fertilizer

The supply of nutrients over 1 - 2 vegetative periods

THE 0 - 2 MM PARTICLE FRACTION

THE LENGTH AND INTENSITY OF THE EFFECTS

The 0-2 mm particle fraction ensures the supply of nutrients over 1 - 2 vegetative periods.
It is therefore suitable for annuals or biennials, as well as for plantings.

USE

Its characteristics mainly make it suitable for plants in containers (pots, flower boxes) and for plants growing freely in nature or in beds, especially for vegetables (tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers and others). It is also recommended for plantings of shrubs and trees.

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE

The recommended dosage for large-scale applications is 20 g per m2, which will provide the amount of nutrients necessary for one vegetative period. It is possible to use a dose of 40-50 g per m2 for long-acting fertilization over two vegetative periods.

When preparing cultivation substrates for a single vegetative period, a dosage of 1.5 g per litre of substrate is sufficient to provide the corresponding amount of nutrients. A dosage of 3 g per litre is recommended for long-acting fertilization over two vegetative periods.

It is necessary to ensure sufficient nitrogen when incorporating the 14–31 PK Glass Fertilizer, particle fraction 0–2 mm, into the fertilization system.

THE 0 - 5 MM PARTICLE FRACTION

Glass Fertilizer

The supply of nutrients over 2 - 3 vegetative periods

THE 0 - 5 MM PARTICLE FRACTION

THE LENGTH AND INTENSITY OF THE EFFECTS

The supply of nutrients over 2 - 3 vegetative periods.

Given its long-acting nature, the fertilizer is mainly designated for fertilizing long-term plantings.

USE

Fertilizing of the long-term plantings in an urban environment; extensive and intensive green roofs, perennial flowerbeds, mobile greenery and avenue trees.

The Glass Fertilizer is suitable for the pre-cultivation of trees in containers or quick pots, where the long-acting dose is used both during the pre-cultivation in the pots and after planting.

In addition to independent applications, the fertilizer can also be used as a component in complex NPK fertilizers with a long-acting character in conjunction with long-acting nitrogen-based fertilizers.

The particle fraction of 0 – 5 mm is suitable for the preparation of so-called mixed fertilizers.

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE

The recommended dosage for large-scale applications is 20 g per m2, which will provide the amount of nutrients necessary for one vegetative period. It is possible to use a dose of 45-60 g per m2 or more for long-acting fertilisation over several vegetative periods.

When preparing cultivation substrates for a single vegetative period, a dosage of 1.5 g per litre of substrate is sufficient to provide the corresponding amount of nutrients. A dosage of 3 g per litre or an increased dose (4.5 g/l) is recommended for long-acting fertilisation over several vegetative periods.

It is necessary to ensure sufficient nitrogen when incorporating the 14–31 PK Glass Fertilizer, particle fraction 0–5 mm, into the fertilization system.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions:

1) Do you make the glass fertilizer from waste material or is it a completely new product?

We do not manufacture our glass fertilizer from waste products, because the properties that we wish to attain require the precise ratio of the elements within the glass structure.

We now have a completely new product that conforms to plants’ requirements and at the same time is very ecologically friendly and beneficial thanks to its long-acting effects (the energy used in its production is spread over a period of up to 3 years).

2) Glass doesn’t dissolve, so what exactly does glass fertilizer mean?

In essence, this really does involve glass, but not the type that we are used to in regular life (tumblers, bottles, glasses etc.). This involves glass that has different bonds in its structure than those that are regularly used in sodium-potassium glass. This enables it to gradually decompose, thereby resulting in the release of the bound substances such as potassium, phosphorus, calcium and magnesium.

It is precisely thanks to the glass’ structure that the nutrients are released gradually over a period of several years.

3) Does it really dissolve down to the very last granule?

Essentially, yes. The main and essential components of glass fertilizer dissolve down to the very last granule. However, some silicon granules (very small particles) do remain in the soil, but they will not have any further effect on the soil quality and will not break down any further.
