Friday 17th May - Sunday 20th October 2019 / the main building
A significant chapter in the history of Jablonec costume jewellery concerns the production of glass bracelets, so-called bangles, and other types of costume jewellery products, which were exported in massive numbers to British India from the end of the 19th century until the outbreak of the Second World War. The exhibition presents an extensive range of products for the Indian market from the museum's collection.
The aforementioned bangles and other glass products dating from this period also came from Zásada, the birthplace of the beads and seed beads sold under our PRECIOSA Traditional Czech Beads™ brand.
