Step 1

String the seed beads onto the crocheting yarn. String the pattern from the top: the first rocaille is marked with an arrow (fig. nos. 1a, 1b).

row 1 – 6x rocailles
row 2 – 12x rocailles
row 3 – 18x rocailles
row 4 – 24x rocailles
row 5 – 30x rocailles
row 6 – 36x rocailles
row 7 – 42x rocailles
rows 8 to 22 – 48x rocailles
row 23 – 42x rocailles
row 6 – 36x rocailles
row 6 – 30x rocailles
row 6 – 24x rocailles
row 6 – 18x rocailles
row 6 – 12x rocailles

Step 3

Continue with the second row: crochet two loops with a short column and a rocaille into each loop in the first line (fig. no. 3a).
The second row will include a total of 12 rocailles (fig. no. 3b). Add 6 rocailles to the next row - a total of 18 rocailles around the circle.
Always add to the last crocheted column in the sector, expand the circle until you have 48 seed beads all around (fig. no. 3c). Then crochet the same amount without any additions for 14 rows (fig. no. 3d).
