Dr Petr Nový (*1973), the chief curator at the Museum of Glass and costume Jewellery in Jablonec nad Nisou, an external curator at the Kuzebauch Gallery in Prague and the Editor-in-Chief at the Glass-maker and Ceramicist (Sklář a keramik) specialist magazine, is involved in the study of both the history and the present of glass and costume jewellery.
He is the author of a number of permanent, seasonal and touring exhibitions, books, catalogues and tens of texts published both in the Czech Republic and abroad. He has been involved in expert cooperation with the glassworks in Desná for almost twenty years. He is the 2015 laureate of the Glass Prize awarded by the Czech Glass Association.
