Sewn earrings made from PRECIOSA Candy Oval

We have prepared the following project for luxurious black earrings as an example of how to use PRECIOSA Candy Oval beads.

We have expanded our range of pressed two-hole beads. We now offer PRECIOSA Candy Oval, a bead with an oval shape and with a distinctly rounded face and an almost flat rear. The holes pass through the shorter dimension of the bead. The beads are available in three sizes, specifically 4 x 6 mm, 6 x 8 mm and 10 x 12 mm.

Materials

4 mm rings; thin 5 mm rings; earring hooks

Tools

A 0.20 mm nylon line; a regular 0.30 mm wire; scissors;
snipping pliers; flat nose pliers (tightening the wire, handling the rings)

Procedure

Step 1

Alternately string 4x C1 and 4x Ch onto the line. 
Keep an eye on the way the C1 are turned (the face and the rear of the beads). 
Thread the line through them one more time. Tie it off. 
Thread the end of the line through the same hole in the C1.

Step 2

String 2 lots of 10x Ch and 2 lots of 2x C2 onto the wire into the gaps between the empty holes of the C1. Keep an eye on the way the C2 are turned. Tie two knots next to the C1 and Ch. Thread the ends of the wire through the same hole in the C1. Also try to hide the knot.

Step 3

Create the top of the earrings. Thread the line through the lower, already threaded hole in the C2. String 3x Ch. Thread the line through the empty upper hole of the C2. Add 1x C2. String 4x Ch. Thread the line through the top hole of the C2. String 10x Ch. Thread the line through the top hole one more time.

String 4x Ch. Thread the line through the lower hole of the C2. Thread the line through the upper hole of the adjacent C2. String 3x Ch. Thread the line through the lower hole of the C2. Tie off the wire. Thread the ends of the wire to the left and the right.

Step 4

Also repeat Step 3 on the opposite side of the earring.

Step 5

Hang 1x Th from the loop of Ch using a thin ring and a 4 mm ring.

Step 6

Hang the entire earring on an earring hook.

Make the second earring.
