Make a necklace using PRECIOSA Candy Rose Pressed Beads in the 8 mm and 12 mm sizes.

Adorn your décolletage with a set of beads in a shape which is reminiscent of a rare natural phenomenon which continues to form in the Koněprusy karst cave in the Czech Karst.

4 mm and 8 mm rings; caps (on two ends of the leather); an eye pin; an adjusting chain; a 0.20 mm nylon line; a thin needle; scissors; round brown pieces of leather; universal glue (absorbent + non-absorbent); snipping pliers; flat nose pliers (for handling the rings); pliers with a round point; a ruler

Procedure

The sewn arch

Start by sewing the 1st to the 3rd rows at the same time. Then sew the 4th row onto them. All of the CR must have the embossed side turned upwards. Thread the line through the right and left-hand holes in this position. Thread the line twice through an R stop bead about 15 cm from the beginning of the line. Proceed in the same way on the other end of the line.

Step 1

Thread the line through the left-hand hole of 1x CR8, through the right and left-hand holes of 1x CR12, through the right-hand hole of 1x CR8 and through the left-hand hole of 1x CR8. Then thread the line through the right-hand hole of 4x R and 1x CR8 (given a stringing through the left-hand hole).

1

Step 2

Repeat the stringing principle as in Step 1.

2

Step 3

Use 2-3 lines for the arch consisting of three rows. As such, sew two to three parts.

3

Step 4

Connect the parts. Add CR8 or CR12 and R. Remove the R stop bead. Tie off the ends of the lines. Do not sew them in.
The 1st row (nearest to the neck) – 20x CR8; the 2nd row – 21x CR8; the 3rd row – 20x CR8.

4

Step 5

Sew on the protruding CR12 from the 4th row and the large leaves to the CR12 from the 3rd row. Start with the CR12. Place them under the gap between the CR12 from the 3rd row. Place the leaf in the gap under the CR12. String 16x R. Thread the line through the 15th R again. String another 14x R.
The 4th row – 10x CR12 with small leaves made of R alternating with nine larger leaves made of R.

Step 6

Reinforce the side with the line from Step 5. Gradually thread the line through the outer CR12 from the 3rd row, the two outer CR8 from the 2nd row and the outer CR8 from the 1st row. Remove the R stop bead from the ends of the lines in the 1st - 3rd rows. Tie off the lines. Do not sew them in.

6

Step 7

Reinforce the CR12 from the 3rd and 4th rows. Sew the small leaves onto the CR12 from the 4th row. String 10x R. Thread the line through 9x R again. String another 8x R. Also thread the line through the large leaves, but without the top 2 R.

7 / a

Step 8

Sew in both ends of the lines from Step 7. Pull any of the protruding ends of the line into the holes. Cut them off.

Sew the loops consisting of 10 R onto the outer CR8. Sew through them twice.

8

Step 9

Finishing

Thread the eye pin through the hole in the cap. Add 1x R6. Use the round-pointed pliers to twist a loop onto the wire. Cut off 2x 20 cm pieces of leather. Glue the ends of the leather into the cap.

9 / a

Step 10

Pull both halves of the leather together. String one hole in 1x CR8 and 12x R11. Thread the line through them 2x. Do the same in the second hole.

10 / a

Step 11

Connect the loops on the leather and the outer loops on the sewn arch using 2x 8mm rings.

11

Step 12

Cut off 16 cm of the adjusting chain. Attach the carabiner and the chain to the loops on the caps using the rings.
