Pressed beads in the shape of the delicate forget-me-not are perfectly on-trend for creating fashionable applications using glass jewelry beads. Discover the symmetrical 5 mm bead with two-sided deep grooves. Because of the centrally placed hole it is also great for beaded embroidery. You are not limited by solid colors either – all kinds of surface finishes and partial and full décors can be applied as well.
Flower motifs will never go out of style. This romantic necklace made from the delightful tiny flowers is sure to be popular with everyone. More importantly, the pressed glass PRECIOSA Forget-Me-Not won’t wilt!

The basis for creating a forget-me-not decorative tube is the net stitch. If you have the feeling that you cannot adequately tighten the end of the tube, you can first create it from rocaille using the net stitch and then decorate it with (sew-on) the forget-me-not beads.
STEPS
STEP 1
STEP 2
Add 2x R10-A, 1x R10-B a 2x R10-A and pass your needle through R10-B in the direction of the stitching (Fig. 2).
Fig.2
STEP 3
Then add 1x P (forget-me-not bead), 1x R10-A and return through only the flower bead. Tighten the flower firmly all the way into the end of the tube, thread through R10-B from the first row in the direction of the stitching (Fig. 3).
Fig. 3
STEP 4
Add another 2x R10-A, 1x R10-B and 2x R10-A and again thread through R10-B in the direction of the stitching (Fig. 4). Then add 1x P, 1x R10-B and return through P.
Fig. 4
Tighten the flower firmly all the way to the end of the tube, pass through R10-B from the first row in the direction of stitching (Fig. 5). Repeat this process (Fig. 4 and Fig. 5) until you have added 4 pcs of P around the initial circle.
Fig. 5
STEP 5
Now you need to work with the next row. After adding the last P thread through 2x R10-A and 1x R10-B (Fig. 6).
Fig. 6
Now that you have the basic tube, and you are at the next row, add 2x R10-A, 1x R10-B, and 2x R10-A. Thread through one R10-B, and another in the direction of the stitching, skipping over P (Fig. 7).
Fig. 7
STEP 6
Once again add 1x P, 1x R10-B and thread through one R10-B, which has a thread coming out of it. Firmly bring the flower to the tube and tighten (Fig. 8).
Fig. 8
Keep repeating: add 1x R10, 1x P, four times in a row. Don’t forget to thread through the previous row after you add the fourth P (Fig. 9).
Fig. 9
The colors of the seed beads alternates within each flower (1x R10-B and 2x R10-A), which creates the illusion of a spiral. If this is too confusing, you can use one color per flower instead. The advantage of using two colors is you can better see the path of the thread (Fig. 10).
Fig. 10
If the hollow tube doesn’t hold well at the beginning, you can use knitting needles to give your hands a solid base (Fig. 11).
Fig. 11
Create the length of tube that you desire, then finish it with a circle of 12 rocailles. The blue rocailles will have forget-me-nots attached to them and in between there will be 2x R10-A just like in the first row of the project (Fig. 12).
Fig. 12
Firm up the end by sewing around through the beads a little, knot and cut off the excess thread. Thread the round leather or nylon cord through your flowered tube. Using pliers add the end caps to the cords, and then add a jump ring to one end and a lobster clasp to the other. You can decorate the ends by adding more forget-me-nots (Fig. 13).
