Simple flowers made using PRECIOSA Pip™

Preciosa Ornela presents a relatively simple tutorial for creating three sizes of flowers using the new PRECIOSA Pip™ bead. The wide range of glass colors and surface finishes in these small beads enables you to create innumerable flower motifs. It is entirely up to you which colors you choose and how you decide to use the created flowers. You can assemble many other costume jewelry accessories from the flowers made using PRECIOSA Pip™. Preciosa Ornela wishes you many creative ideas.

A metal piece with a socket or a facet (a pendant, ring, earring, clips, studs), for pendants (a chain, oval, counter-ring, a carabiner)

Tools

Glue (hot melt glue or fast drying glue for adhesive materials) a thin sewing needle, a 0.20 mm nylon line, scissors, flat nose pliers

Procedure

Step 1

A flower made using 6 P

String 6x Pip (P) onto the line. Thread the line through 5 beads one more time and tighten well. String 1x R6, thread the line through the gap between the beads according to the illustration and pass the line through the R6 once again. Thread the line through the last and tighten the stringing well. Tie off the end of the line with two knots, thread the remainder through the nearest holes and cut off the excess (fig. no. 1a + 1b).

Step 4

You can glue the finished flowers onto the facets of metal parts with a diameter of 10 mm, 15 mm or 20 mm (fig. no. 4a). Glue an 8 mm bead to the centre of the flower or you can glue the finished flowers together according to their size (fig. no. 4b). These semi-products can then be used with other metal parts to create, for example, a pendant, a ring or earrings.
