Czech seed beads in the shape of a short roller are called two-cut beads. They are produced using a similar technology to other seed beads, i.e. the cutting of glass rods with a round hole and a hexagonal surface. After cutting, the two-cut beads are fine tumbled and heat polished in order to rid them of any sharp edges.

Two-cut beads are produced in five basic sizes from 1.7 mm to 2.6 mm (in a zero series from 12/0 to 8/0) in transparent and opaque glass and with different finishing variants. A special size is 32/0 which equals a size of 7.1 mm. These especially big two-cut beads are only made in a transparent glass colour range: the crystal, alabaster and basic range of rainbow colours through to black.
Two-coloured two-cut beads, so-called Harlequins, which are made by combining two transparent colours, are another interesting type of these exceptional seed beads. The offer includes five colour combinations of Harlequins: amber-garnet, amber-aquamarine, amber-sapphire, green-garnet and topaz-crystal. The excellent sparkle of the Harlequins is emphasised by a silver lining.
